Roots streamlines the billing and payment process to make it quick and easy for our clients. Just as you'd expect with a massage therapist, naturopathic doctor, and other cash based services, payment is collected at time of service. Clients may place a card on file for quick, easy and secure payment processing following each visit. For those with Out of Network benefits, Roots can provide you with a detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Learn more below.

Out-of-Network Provider
Roots is an Out-of-Network Provider, meaning we do not bill insurance companies directly. By choosing not to contract with insurance companies, we’re able to provide the best possible care for each client with maximum flexibility and without third party limitations. This innovative model is a significant change from the typical insurance-driven PT practice model, and represents a shift in the direction of consumer-driven healthcare.
By choosing an experienced Doctor of Physical Therapy in an Out-of-Network Model, the consumer is choosing expert-level care by an experienced professional that is consistent, individualized, and convenient to the consumer. Greater time spent one-on-one with hands-on care yields faster and greater improvements, resulting in a significant cost savings over time.

Credit Card Policy
At Roots, we believe your time is incredibly valuable.We respect your time and have policies in place in order to prioritize service and efficiency.Roots asks that all clients have a credit card on file in order to reserve your appointment times. This is standard practice in all service based industries. Not only does it improve efficiency and time management, this practice also serves to protect the integrity of our time that we set aside for you.
Upon booking your initial evaluation, we’ll ask that you take a moment to look over our policies and complete the Credit Card Authorization Form. With your permission, we will charge your card on file following each session, unless other payment arrangements have been agreed upon with your Provider.
