It does not! Our fees are consistent with local outpatient PT practices and significantly less than hospital-based PT services.

This is totally dependent upon your specific insurance plan. Some clients are reimbursed at 80%, others not at all. We encourage all clients to call their insurance company to understand their specific out of network benefits prior to starting care at Roots. Upon request, we will email you a detailed invoice with the information needed for you to submit an Out of Network claim to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Yoga

Absolutely! Needing improvement in flexibility is exactly why you SHOULD do yoga!

Yes, just make sure you find the right class. A class designed for beginners would be more appropriate than say a Heated Power Class.

Bring your yoga mat, water, and any props that you like to use!
A good rule of thumb is to wear something that you are comfortable in and supports movement.
Start with a beginner’s class, do not be afraid to reach out to the studio and ask questions! Each studio is different, and there are so many types of yoga. Ask lots of questions and tell them you are a beginner they will guide you to the right class.

There are endless benefits to practicing yoga! Here are our top 8. -Increased strength -increased mobility -increased flexibility -improves balance – increased general feeling of wellbeing. -Decreases stress, anxiety, depression, -decreased tension in the body -lowers blood pressure -improves sleep

Even if you practice just 1x a week you will notice an improvement. Remember though, the more you put into something the more you get out of it. Practicing 2-3x will produce the most benefits.

We would not recommend a Thanksgiving sized meal before a class. Of course, if you are hungry and cannot wait to eat till after class a satisfying snack is completely ok and encouraged!

Clearance from a medical professional is highly recommended if you have a medical condition and want to start movement practice. Also, finding the right type of yoga class and instructor is important. Tell your instructor what is going on and ask lots of questions.

Yes! Prenatal Yoga classes are wonderful to take while pregnant! Once you talk about it with your Dr and they give you the ok, yoga can be wonderful to foster a connection between you and baby. Along with decreasing stress and increasing relaxation, it also helps ease some of the discomforts that come along with pregnancy.
